Altaline aims to provide hands-on resources and support to help transform businesses with whom we partner. Our Strategic Resources Group (SRG) is comprised of full-time executives with functional expertise that can be activated to help you address critical operational objectives.
Puja Kantawala
Talent & People Operations
Puja leads efforts to provide support on Human Capital Management (HCM) initiatives across Altaline partner companies. Puja supports executive recruiting, benefits administration and optimization, implementation of modern HRIT systems, compensation benchmarking and structuring, deployment of broad based equity participation programs, setting up HR compliance functions as well as assessing sales team commission schedules, annual review processes and staff development programs (including up-skilling initiatives).
Puja was formerly with Vaco LLC – a global staffing and HR services firm and KPMG where she was a management consultant. Puja graduated from the University of California Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting.

Mike Zeidlhack
Operations & General Management
Mike helps drive operational transformation initiatives alongside CEOs across the Altaline portfolio. He also supports projects to institutionalize finance functions, evaluate product pipelines, optimize sales teams, improve pricing/packaging, modernize core systems, and rationalize G&A costs.
Mike was a former management consultant with Accenture and later took on a series of General Manager–focused roles across small- and mid-sized tech-oriented businesses. Mike obtained his MBA from The Wharton School and a B.A. from Northwestern.

Rafael Telahun
Managing Director, Technology Sector
Rafael helps lead investments in the technology sector for Altaline. Prior to cofounding Altaline, Mr. Telahun was with TA Associates where he focused on buyouts and large-scale growth investments in technology-enabled businesses. Prior to TA, Mr. Telahun was with CVC Capital Partners where he also focused on buyouts and large-scale growth investments in technology-enabled businesses. Mr. Telahun started his career as an M&A Analyst within the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup. Mr. Telahun obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School and his B.S. in computer science from the University of Maryland.
Ian Balmaseda
Managing Director, Business Services Sector
Ian helps lead investments in the business services sector for Altaline. Prior to cofounding Altaline, Mr. Balmaseda was with HIG Capital where he focused on buyouts and large-scale growth investments in business services and IT services companies. Mr. Balmaseda started his career as an investment professional with The Audax Group. Mr. Balmaseda obtained his MBA from The Wharton School and his B.S. in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech.
Brian Maher
Principal
Brian helps lead investments across the technology and services sectors for Altaline. Prior to co-founding Altaline, Brian was an investor with KKR’s flagship private equity funds, where he focused on vertical software, data, and tech-enabled services businesses. He began his private equity career at TA Associates after working as a Mergers and Acquisitions investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Brian obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Finance from the University of Florida, Phi Kappa Phi.

Gunnar Weidick
Analyst, Origination & Research
Gunnar Weidick leads Altaline’s outbound origination efforts across the software and services sectors, with a particular emphasis on identifying investment opportunities in fragmented sub-sectors throughout North America. He plays a key role in building relationships with founders and management teams aligned with Altaline’s growth-focused strategy.
Mr. Weidick earned his degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington.

Altaline’s firm administration group enables our core activities and allows us to serve our stakeholder group, including the companies with whom we partner.
Dylan McElligott
Analyst, Marketing & Investor Relations
Dylan McElligott leads investor relations at Altaline Capital Management, overseeing capital formation and communications with current and prospective investors. He helps articulate the firm’s strategy and performance, serving as a key liaison to the limited partner community.
He also directs Altaline’s brand strategy, ensuring a cohesive and compelling presence across channels. Dylan advises portfolio companies on marketing strategy, supporting their growth through positioning, messaging, and campaign planning. He holds a bachelors degree from the University of La Verne.
